Mary Sand PhD

Mary Sand, PhD is a proven leader with 40 years of professional experience in healthcare and higher education.  She began her healthcare career as a physical therapist and over the years held various leadership positions.  Mary had the privilege of leading teams in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, long term care, a healthcare system, and a university.  She worked as Vice President of Strategic Operations and Performance Excellence for a well-respected health care system, and prior to that served as Vice President of Leadership and Organizational Development.  
Mary has taken strategic plans from vision to execution as a health care executive. As a facilitator, she has guided many organizations in their strategic planning efforts, helping them generate new ideas, prioritize opportunities and keep moving forward.
She has devoted many years to developing physician leaders and has designed a physician leadership program for a large health care system. Her work with physician and administrator dyad leaders of clinical service lines provides valuable experience. Mary has helped many physicians grow their leadership skills and has served as a mentor to many.   
As an experienced executive, Mary now plays to her strengths by facilitating strategic planning sessions, developing leaders including physicians, and speaking at conferences/events.
