Shirin Doshi DO, Sparrow Health System
Dr. Doshi graduated from the University of Michigan in 1997 with a degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science, then attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2001. She went on to complete residency training in Family Medicine through Sparrow Hospital and a fellowship in Obstetrics at Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Doshi came back to Sparrow in 2007 and became the Osteopathic Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program. In 2010 she assumed the role of Osteopathic DME, Osteopathic Internship Program Director, and Site Director for the MSUCOM base students here at Sparrow in addition to the Family Medicine Osteopathic Program Director. Dr. Doshi has taught at MSUCOM in their Clinical Skills and Doctor-Patient Relationship courses during her years here in Lansing. She will continue to teach both medical students and Family Medicine residents. Currently Dr. Doshi has been appointed the lead Physician Advisor for Sparrow Hospital as of June 2021 and provides provider education, reviews hospital cases for medical necessity, assists with insurance denials, and continues to assist the medical staff with coding and documentation requirements.
