Rachel Young DO


Dr. Young joined is Core Faculty and Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Clinic. She sees her own panel of patients 4 half days a week. Dr Young previously spent 4 years in private practice. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, especially families. Dr Young treats acute and chronic health concerns with a special interest in type 2 diabetes, obesity, and preventative medicine. She is experienced in osteopathic manipulative medicine. She also serves as the Clinic Director of the Family Medicine Residency Clinic. 
 
Dr Young attended Central Michigan University for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then went on to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she earned her medical degree. Dr Young is very active within both local and national osteopathic organizations. Dr Young served as Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians President in 2018-2019. She passionately advocates for patient and physician interests at the state and national level and enjoys teaching medical students and residents about the importance of integrating health advocacy into their practice.
