Arpon Shahed DO, MBT, MSUCOM IGH

As an alumni of Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine I successfully completed residency training in Family Medicine at Ascension Providence Southfield. After serving as chief medical resident, I continue to maintain academic, research and clinical teaching positions at the Michigan State Institute for Global Health while also providing patient care and serving as Medical Director at Get Well Urgent Care LLC in the metro-Detroit area. Over the past decade, I have devoted my time to various international medical outreach initiatives in Haiti, Dominican Republic and Guatemala. I was appointed as a volunteer board member for the non-profit organization, Soaring Unlimited, an organization that focuses on sustainable development and medical care in Haiti. My passion for global health stems from my upbringing as a Bangladeshi-Canadian immigrant. I plan to continue my role as a global health liaison by connecting people to help the most vulnerable communities in the world.
