I am a Cardiac Electrophysiologist with Sparrow Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute (TCI). I joined Sparrow in July 2019 to help establish complex ablation program. Over the past years, we have established a comprehensive atrial fibrillation clinic providing our community and patients with state of the art treatments for atrial fibrillation. Treatment strategies include nutrition and weight loss assessment, sleep apnea assessment and treatment referral, antiarrhythmic drug therapies, cardioversion, left atrial appendage management, catheter and surgical ablation techniques. We have partnered with emergency medicine to establish ER-AFib pathway, pulmonary medicine to diagnose and treat sleep apnea, bariatric and weight loss medicine to launch our patients towards a goal directed weight loss program, structural heart and cardiac surgery program to manage left atrial appendage with endovascular occlusive device (Watchman and Amulet) or Epicardial closure with Atriclip. While main treatment strategy for those refractory to antiarrhythmic drug remains Catheter Ablation, for those with much advanced and long-standing AFib, we have partnered with our cardiac surgeons to occur Epicardial left atrial ablation as well. This has provided long-term atrial fibrillation control that was not possible previously.
I enjoy taking care of my community and our patients. I moved from New York, where I was born, raised and trained. However, Lansing Michigan was a better fit for my family. I enjoy my time interacting with residents, fellows and medical students. I have had the opportunity to participate in innovative cardiac device development, cutting edge ablation therapies and clinical research trials. In my free time, I love to ski with my family and enjoy travelling and exploring with them.
